We are now accepting new families into our programs. We want to ensure everyone that the health of the children in our care, their families, and our staff is our main priority. We are taking all possible precautions to ensure everyone’s safety during this time, as defined by the guidelines set forth by the State and the CDC.

Where Love & Learning Go Hand In Hand
At Margaret George School and Child Care Center, we’re dedicated to providing child care and preschool programming for children from ages six weeks to six years old. Located in King of Prussia, PA, we offer kids the freedom and permission to express themselves in a culturally diverse, inclusive, and loving environment.
Children ages one to six spend a majority of their day in our outdoor classroom area. This nature-based approach has been implemented to provide a space where all learning activities that are usually held inside can be done outside. We also apply the guidelines of the National Association for the Education of Young Children to our curriculum to ensure each classroom is developmentally appropriate for each age group and each individual child.
As a Keystone STAR Center for over twelve years, we continue to provide quality early learning programs to prepare children for success in school and life. Led by certified teachers and staff, we are committed to ensuring that every child feels at home and can express themselves fully.

Mission & Philosophy
The mission of Margaret George School and Child Care Center is to provide love and respect in a stimulating environment, where children are encouraged to reach their potential in all areas of development through play and interaction with the natural world. We take a holistic approach to caring for each child, while focusing on social skills, emotional intelligence, mindfulness, and physical and intellectual development.
We strive to meet each child where they are developmentally, and provide an environment where they can be comfortable to be themselves. This environment is shaped by our quality, dedicated, and loving staff members. Staff nurture children through genuine care, interaction, and demonstrating mutual respect.
We design our child-centric lesson plans to provide opportunities for deep and meaningful play. Substantial play and interactions in natural environments is an integral part of children’s overall development. MGS embraces unique personalities, cultural backgrounds, and developmental levels to provide a warm environment where every family feels welcome.
History
Margaret George School and Child Care Center was founded in 1996 by Paula Cosden. She was the mentor of Victoria Spencer, who took over the business with Duc Nguyen in January of 2018. As a family owned business, Victoria and Duc are proud to continue the legacy of kindness and care that MGS has always offered, while bringing in modern tactics, a focus on social and emotional development, and enriched outdoor environments.
Caring & Experienced Staff
Our staff consists of caring teachers who are certified and experienced in early childhood education. Our aides and assistant teachers are also experienced and sensitive to young children. Together, our dedicated team responds quickly and directly to children’s needs, desires, and messages, adapting responses to each child’s differing style and abilities.
We also facilitate the development of self-esteem by respecting, accepting, and comforting children regardless of their behavior. Conflicts are resolved respectfully, taking into account each child’s needs at the time. Our staff follows the guidelines developed by Rudolf Dreikurs in his books: Children, the Challenge (with Vicki Stolz, R.N.) and Discipline Without Tears (with Paul Cassel).
